President Vahagn Khachaturyan’s Message on Victory and Peace Day

My warmest congratulations to you on the occasion of Victory and Peace Day.

77 years ago, the Armenian people, alongside other peoples of the USSR and the progressive mankind, defeated fascism. We, Armenians, significantly contributed to the victory in the war. 600 thousand Armenians went to war and 300 thousand of them didn’t return from the battlefield.

It is our common duty to keep the memory of our heroes, who fell in the battles for freedom and independence, and never forget the veterans.

Our people know the price of peace. Keeping our Motherland safe and secure is our sacred duty and we should spare no effort to strengthen the protection of our country.

Congratulating you on this significant day - Victory and Peace Day, we bow to the memory of the heroes that displayed exceptional courage in the fights for the Motherland, and wish sound health to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Nagorno-Karabakh War.

Eternal glory to our heroes. And may there be peace, optimism, creativity and faith in our Motherland.
