Statements and messages of the President of RA
Congratulatory message of President Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of Diplomat’s Day
Dear Diplomats,
I congratulate you on your professional holiday.
Armenian diplomacy has had a lot of achievements since independence, as a result of which our country presents itself as a reliable, predictable and responsible international partner owing to the efforts made by the diplomats working in the Foreign Ministry headquarters and around six dozen internationally accredited diplomatic missions of Armenia. Your dedication and efforts are noticeable and highly valued.
We have great expectations from Armenian diplomats in terms of providing conditions for our country’s peaceful and sustainable development, enhancing Armenia’s international standing, and dealing with issues of vital importance to our people.
Much has to be done yet, especially in terms of ensuring a peaceful settlement for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and international recognition of the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination.
Just as in previous years, our diplomats will face a hectic agenda in 2018. In October, Yerevan is hosting the Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie, which is an unprecedented event in the history of independent Armenia both in its scale and expected results. I look forward to your dedication and determination for holding this event at a high level.
Dear Diplomats,
I wish you fruitful activity, strength and energy in your mission to serve the Republic of Armenia for the sake of our homeland’s safe and prosperous future.
