Congratulatory Message of President Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of the oath taking ceremony of the new members of the Young Homeland Defenders structure

Distinguished members and guests of the Homeland Defenders voluntary organization,
Dear new members of the structure,
I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of the oath taking ceremony. This ceremony is a symbolic christening for becoming a young defender of our homeland. From now on, you’re more than just young boys and girls. You are our future citizens, dedicated to the task of defending our Fatherland. It is symbolic that the ceremony is taking place on March 5 - the birthday of Armenia’s National Hero Vazgen Sarkissian. I have no doubt that you will unwaveringly continue the great and patriotic work of the Sparapet, and you will also carry on with the excellent traditions of the Homeland Defenders Voluntary Union. I wish you all to carry proudly and deservedly the name of Young Homeland Defenders. It is not a title but a responsibility and duty. I wish that your energy and vigor serve good deeds and that you achieve success in all your patriotic undertakings.
