President Vahagn Khachaturyan received President of Algeria’s Council of the Nation Azouz Nasri

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Azouz Nasri, President of the Council of the Nation of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

Welcoming his guest, the President of the Republic thanked him for participating in the COP17 conference being held in Armenia, emphasizing that this important international platform also provides a good opportunity to discuss the bilateral agenda and explore new prospects for cooperation. Vahagn Khachaturyan highly appreciated the friendly relations with Algeria, which have spanned more than three and a half decades, reaffirming Armenia’s readiness to deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Azouz Nasri expressed his gratitude for the invitation and warm reception and emphasized the importance of hosting such a conference in Armenia.

The sides noted that diplomatic relations between the two countries are based on mutual respect and trust. During the meeting, they highlighted the importance of strengthening interparliamentary ties and maintaining regular high-level reciprocal visits, which would provide new impetus to bilateral political dialogue and economic cooperation.
