Newly Appointed Ambassador of Rwanda presented Credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan

Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to the Republic of Armenia Joseph Nzabamwita presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

President Khachaturyan congratulated the Ambassador on assuming office and wished him success in carrying out his responsible mission.

“It is very important that we are activating relations between our two countries. There are already agreements to launch political consultations. Of course, we must also ensure the continuity of this process,” President Khachaturyan noted, emphasizing the need to realize the existing potential and enrich the bilateral agenda with practical content.

Ambassador Joseph Nzabamwita expressed his gratitude for the reception and conveyed the greetings of Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame to the President of Armenia.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Rwanda. They emphasized the importance of exploring opportunities for developing and implementing joint programs and initiatives in various fields, particularly in artificial intelligence, high technologies, and innovation.

President Khachaturyan stressed that cooperation in these areas could build on the existing experience and potential of the two countries, contributing to the establishment of new ties and the implementation of mutually beneficial initiatives.

Addressing international and multilateral cooperation, the sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation within the Francophonie, as well as making more effective use of opportunities for cooperation within formats bringing together landlocked countries.

It was noted that these platforms could contribute to the exchange of views on issues of common interest, the sharing of experience, and the promotion of joint initiatives.

President Khachaturyan noted that Armenia attaches importance to expanding political, economic, and humanitarian ties with countries across the African continent and developing cooperation in new areas. According to him, in this context, strengthening relations with Rwanda could create new opportunities both for the bilateral agenda and for cooperation on multilateral platforms.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of ensuring continuity in political dialogue, intensifying mutual contacts, and consistently implementing the practical steps necessary for the development of bilateral relations.
