President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Vartkes Mahdessian, State Representative of the Armenian Community in the House of Representatives of Cyprus

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Vartkes Mahdessian, the State Representative of the Armenian community in the House of Representatives of Cyprus, and presented him with the Medal of Gratitude, a state award of the Republic of Armenia.

Welcoming Vartkes Mahdessian, President Khachaturyan congratulated him, highly commended his longstanding contributions in support of Armenian causes and his role in strengthening Armenia–Cyprus relations, and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.

In 2021, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, a decision was made to award Vartkes Mahdessian the Medal of Gratitude in recognition of his significant contribution to strengthening Armenia–Diaspora ties, preserving Armenian identity, and supporting the defense and security of the Homeland.
