President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Embassy of France in Armenia on the occasion of the National Day of the French Republic

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Embassy of France in Armenia on the occasion of the National Day of the French Republic, Bastille Day.

The President extended his congratulations to Ambassador Olivier Decottignies and, through him, to President Emmanuel Macron and the friendly people of France, wishing them peace, success, and prosperity.

Highlighting the special nature of Armenian-French relations, the President, among other issues, emphasized the importance of high-level visits, recalling President Macron’s successful state visit to Armenia in May of this year, which gave new momentum and substance to the bilateral agenda.

The sides discussed French-implemented projects in Armenia’s Syunik Region, both at the central and local government levels, and underscored the importance of deepening cooperation in the fields of the military industry, high technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI).

President Khachaturyan also referred to the progress made in advancing the Armenia–European Union Strategic Partnership, placing particular emphasis on France’s role in promoting this agenda.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic for his visit, his warm wishes, and his continued support for strengthening bilateral relations.
