President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan.

Welcoming the Minister, President Khachaturyan highly praised the reforms being implemented by the Ministry, emphasizing the importance of consistent efforts in the fields of education, science, culture, and sport. The President noted that the reform process should continue, enriched with new ideas, modern approaches, and innovative solutions.

The President stressed that Armenia’s greatest asset is its educated citizens and that one of the state’s foremost priorities is to create a supportive and encouraging environment in which they can thrive.

“In reality, everything begins with education. Whenever the question is asked, “What is Armenia’s future?”, the answer is unequivocal: Armenia’s future lies in its educated people. This is the principle that should guide all our efforts,” President Khachaturyan stated.

The President also underscored the importance of the work being carried out in the fields of culture and sport, noting that the country’s cultural life has become increasingly vibrant and that the scope of cultural programs and events should continue to expand. According to him, culture, like education, plays a vital role in shaping society’s value system and educating citizens.

Vahagn Khachaturyan also emphasized the importance of active public participation in the reform process, noting that society’s demand for high-quality education itself contributes to the sector’s development. He stated that the state’s objective is to foster proactive, responsible, and civically engaged citizens who are willing to contribute to the country’s development.

For her part, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan thanked the President for the meeting and his positive assessment, emphasizing that his continued attention to and participation in events related to the Ministry’s areas of responsibility provide important support and guidance for its work.

The Minister noted that the reforms are comprehensive and that their full understanding and acceptance require time. At the same time, she pointed out that the results of recent public opinion surveys indicate growing public support for the changes being implemented in the education sector.

According to Zhanna Andreasyan, these findings demonstrate progress in terms of public awareness and engagement. She stressed that consistent efforts must continue to ensure the effective implementation of the Ministry’s programs and the successful advancement of the ongoing reforms.
