President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Laos to Armenia

The Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Armenia, Siphandone Oybouabouddy, presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

President Khachaturyan congratulated the Ambassador on assuming his post and wished him productive work for the benefit of the development of relations between the two countries.

The President expressed hope that cooperation between Armenia and Laos would further expand, covering various areas of mutual interest.

Ambassador Oybouabouddy thanked the President for the reception and noted that through his activities he would actively contribute to strengthening and developing bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the political, economic, educational, and high-technology sectors. The sides also emphasized the importance of promoting parliamentary diplomacy, considering it an important component in the development of bilateral relations.

The importance of official mutual visits was also highlighted as an effective means of strengthening cooperation and identifying new directions. The sides noted that close cooperation on international platforms could have positive significance by contributing to the advancement of common agendas.

During the conversation, reference was also made to the United Nations COP conference to be held in Armenia later this year, as well as the Yerevan Dialogue international conference, emphasizing their importance as platforms for deepening cooperation and strengthening relations.
