President Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in the UN Development Programme’s Public Sector Innovation Forum

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, took part in the Public Sector Innovation Forum III organized by the United Nations Development Programme and delivered a welcoming speech.

“I am pleased to welcome you to the Public Sector Innovation Forum held in the Republic of Armenia.

This initiative is an important step toward building a modern, efficient, and citizen-centered system of public administration. In today’s world, the success of states largely depends on their ability to quickly and effectively adapt to changes and adopt new approaches. Therefore, it is essential to encourage creative thinking and initiative within the public administration system.

Innovation in public administration means not only the application of new technologies but also a change in mindset; it implies a more open governance culture, cooperation among various institutions, and solutions that are more responsive to citizens’ needs.

In recent years, Armenia has been consistently moving in this direction by implementing significant and in-depth public administration reforms. The goal of these changes is to make the public administration system more efficient, more transparent, and more accountable, aligning it with democratic standards and modern technological developments.

On this path, our public servants play a particularly important role: officials who, through their daily work, create results, propose innovative solutions, and contribute to the formation of a more effective state system.

Today’s award ceremony is an opportunity to recognize their dedicated work and to emphasize that innovation must become an integral part of public service.

I would like to highlight the effective cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the United Nations Development Programme, thanks to which this initiative has been brought to life. Through joint efforts, it is possible to create an environment where new ideas are encouraged, experimentation is seen as an opportunity for development, and positive experiences are replicated within the state system.

I am confident that the initiatives presented today will not only inspire new ideas but also contribute to strengthening and deepening cooperation among public institutions, partner organizations, and society.

I wish success to all participants of the award ceremony. I am convinced that their work will continue to make a significant contribution to the development of the public administration system of the Republic of Armenia, contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality of life of our citizens.”
