President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation of the Armenian Assembly of America
President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Executive Director of the Armenian Assembly of America, Bryan Ardouny, Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees Oscar Tatosian, and former Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees Anthony Barsamian.
Welcoming the guests, the President noted that he was pleased to host the representatives of the Assembly and is well acquainted with the organization’s effective and important activities.
President Khachaturyan highly appreciated the work of the Armenian Assembly of America, stressing its importance not only in providing the American, but also the international community with objective information about Armenia and our region. He also emphasized the Assembly’s constant engagement with All-Armenian issues, aimed at deepening Armenian-American cooperation and enhancing Armenia’s role in the region and on international platforms.
Referring to the programs implemented in Armenia by the Assembly, the President of the Republic highlighted their significance for the country’s development. During the conversation, views were also exchanged on the importance of organizing the 17th Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity (COP-17), which will take place in Armenia in 2026.
The meeting also addressed issues related to Armenia’s relations with neighboring countries, as well as matters concerning the domestic political situation and the overall atmosphere. Summing up the meeting, the President of the Republic answered the guests’ questions, touching upon various aspects of domestic political, economic, and public life.
