President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan familiarized himself with the Intensive Horticulture Program in Kotayk Region

On September 1, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the apple orchards of “MR Invest” LLC located in the Nairi and Yeghvard communities of Kotayk region. The intensive orchards, covering a total area of 70 hectares, are fully equipped with anti-hail nets and drip irrigation systems.

The President also visited the reservoir built within the framework of the same program, intended to provide irrigation for the orchards. “MR Invest” LLC has benefited from the government’s agricultural machinery leasing support program in the course of its activities.

The company’s overall business model includes two main components: the establishment of intensive apple and cherry orchards, and the construction of a cold storage facility, which makes it possible to store and preserve about 3,000 tons of produce long-term and to organize its sales according to schedule.
