The President of the Republic received the Ambassador of Egypt

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Serenade Gamil, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Welcoming the guest, the President expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for her effective work during her diplomatic service and her significant contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Gamil, in turn, thanked the President for the reception and for the support extended by the President and the authorities of the Republic during her years in Armenia. She emphasized that she is leaving Armenia with warm and kind memories.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the opportunities for realizing the potential of cooperation between Armenia and Egypt in political, economic, cultural, tourism, and other spheres.

The importance of bilateral initiatives and reciprocal visits at various levels was highlighted, along with the prospects for promoting bilateral investments, which contribute to strengthening ties between business communities and establishing new relations.

The sides also addressed the prospects of strengthening both bilateral and multilateral cooperation. In this context, the President of the Republic noted that the Armenian Government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative is aimed at this very goal, and favorable conditions have now been created for its implementation, taking into account the ongoing developments toward establishing lasting peace in the region.
