The President is on a Working Visit to Turkmenistan

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan from August 4 to 7, 2025, to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

The conference is organized once a decade and aims to summarize the results of previous programs and define new development directions for landlocked developing countries (LLDCs).

Bilateral meetings between the President of the Republic and several international partners are also planned.

The first conference took place in 2003 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where the Almaty Programme of Action was adopted. In 2014, the Vienna Programme of Action (2014–2024) was adopted during the second conference held in Vienna, Austria. These initiatives have played a significant role in mitigating the trade and economic challenges of transit countries and developing infrastructure.

The agenda of the third conference, to be held in Turkmenbashi, includes the development of transit and transport connectivity, expansion of digital interconnectivity, strengthening of climate resilience, enhancement of economic resilience, and promotion of international investment.
