President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Embassy of France in Armenia on the occasion of the National Day of France

On the occasion of the National Day of the French Republic—Bastille Day, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Embassy of France in Armenia.

The President congratulated Olivier Decottignies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, and through him conveyed congratulations to President Emmanuel Macron and the friendly people of France, wishing them peace, success, and prosperity.

Emphasizing the importance of the privileged Armenian-French relations, the two sides touched upon several matters, including decentralized cooperation. In this context, the President congratulated the Ambassador on the opening of the Honorary Consulate of France in Syunik.

Discussions also covered the deepening of Armenia-EU partnership, which encompasses all areas of bilateral relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen and expand the friendly bilateral relations.
