President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited Embassy of Georgia in Armenia

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the Embassy of Georgia in Armenia on the occasion of Georgia’s national holiday—Independence Day.

The President warmly congratulated the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia, Giorgi Sharvashidze, conveying his best wishes to the friendly people of Georgia. President Khachaturyan wished success and prosperity to Georgia, emphasizing the importance of the traditional friendship and partnership between Armenia and Georgia.

President Khachaturyan particularly highlighted the centuries-old friendship between the Armenian and Georgian peoples, considering it a reliable foundation for the development of cooperation based on mutual respect and trust. According to him, the established political dialogue, economic cooperation, and cultural ties between Armenia and Georgia should continue to develop for the benefit of both nations.

“Heartfelt congratulations. As independent states, we are obliged to pass on to our descendants the legacy we have—preserving our territorial integrity, identity, and sovereignty,” stated President Khachaturyan in his speech.

In turn, Ambassador Giorgi Sharvashidze thanked the President for his visit and congratulations. “It is a great honor for us to host You here. You rightly mentioned that what we achieved in 1918 must be passed on to our descendants. I would also like to emphasize that the doors of our embassy are always open to the youth,” noted the ambassador.

During the meeting, both sides also emphasized the importance of deepening peace, stability, and cooperation in the region as an essential component of the shared vision of the two neighboring peoples.
