President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation led by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tran Thanh Man.

The President welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of the continuous development of friendly relations between Armenia and Vietnam.

“Your visit is a testament to the warm relations established between our two countries, which are of great significance to us. I am confident that our cooperation in various fields will continue to grow.

Since 2018, Armenia has become a parliamentary republic, and in this context, inter-parliamentary relations are of great importance to us. I am convinced that Your visit will serve as a new impetus for the development of our bilateral relations,” President Khachaturyan stated.

The Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highlighting the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries.

“My visit reflects the desire of our state and people to further strengthen friendship and cooperation with Armenia. We aim to promote sustainable development and partnership not only in the political sphere but also in science, technology, healthcare, and various economic sectors,” said Tran Thanh Man.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to cooperation prospects was discussed, with a detailed focus on enhancing interaction in political, economic, educational, and other fields.

Both sides emphasized the importance of advancing parliamentary diplomacy as a key component of bilateral relations and underscored the need to promote reciprocal visits to strengthen ties between the legislative and executive bodies of the two countries.

During the conversation, special attention was given to supporting the establishment and strengthening of ties between the entrepreneurial circles of both countries. President Khachaturyan and Chairman Tran Thanh Man discussed opportunities for deepening economic cooperation and agreed to encourage direct contacts between business communities, which would contribute to increasing trade volumes and implementing mutually beneficial investments.

The sides also emphasized the importance of cooperation within various international platforms and frameworks, including the Francophonie. They agreed to intensify collaboration on international platforms and support each other’s initiatives.

The meeting also covered prospects for cooperation in education, healthcare, and high technology. The sides agreed to promote ties between universities, student exchanges, and the implementation of joint scientific research programs.

Special attention was given to experience exchange in the healthcare sector and innovative cooperation opportunities in the field of high technologies.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on regional developments and the overall situation. The President of the Republic emphasized that Armenia maintains a firm stance on achieving peace. He noted that Armenia has put forward the “Crossroads of Peace” project, the implementation of which will contribute not only to regional development but also to broader political and economic connectivity among Asian countries.

At the end of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their commitment to further developing and deepening bilateral relations for the prosperity and well-being of both nations.
