President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Stéphane Dion, Special Envoy of Prime Minister of Canada

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Stéphane Dion, Canada’s Ambassador to France and Monaco, the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the European Union and Europe.

The President welcomed the guest and highly appreciated his efforts aimed at strengthening and developing Armenian-Canadian friendly relations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed further expansion of close cooperation between Armenia and Canada. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of effective collaboration between the two countries’ parliaments and the promotion of trade and economic ties.

Over the course of the conversation, they also exchanged views on regional developments and current realities. In this context, the President reiterated Armenia’s unequivocal commitment to establishing good-neighborly and normalized relations with its neighbors.

At the end of the meeting, President Khachaturyan awarded Stéphane Dion the Medal of Gratitude for his significant contribution to strengthening and developing Armenian-Canadian friendly relations and his dedication to the protection of humanitarian values.
