President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received pianist, musicologist, public figure Raffi Kharajanyan.

The President welcomed the guest and highly appreciated his contribution to the strengthening of Armenian-Latvian friendly relations and the popularization of the Armenian cultural heritage in Latvia.

Over the course of the conversation, Raffi Kharajanyan presented details of the cultural and social life of the Armenian community of Latvia.

During the meeting, the sides touched upon the general situation and developments in Armenia and the region. The sides exchanged views on the opportunities of implementing initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between Latvia and Armenia.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Republic awarded Raffi Kharajanyan with a Medal of Gratitude for his contribution to the strengthening and development of Armenian-Latvian friendly relations and the preservation of Armenian cultural values.
