President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the newly elected Co-Chairs of the Board of Trustees of the Armenian Assembly of America

The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Oscar Tatosian and Talin Yacoubian, the newly elected Co-Chairs of the Board of Trustees of the Armenian Assembly of America. Director of Congressional Relations at Armenian Assembly of America Mariam Khaloyan was also present at the meeting.

The President of the Republic congratulated and wished success to the newly elected Co-Chairs of the Board of Trustees of the Assembly. "We highly appreciate the work that the Armenian Assembly of America has done since the first day of its creation. You have been by Armenia's side in the most difficult times, and you continue to be now.
I am confident that our cooperation will continue in the future, because we have a lot to do together. The goal of all of us is one: to have a strong, prosperous Armenia, and to be able to establish peace in the region while maintaining our place," President Khachaturyan said.

Expressing gratitude for the welcome and words of appreciation, Talin Yacoubian noted that promoting peace in the region is also a priority for them.

During the meeting, the President presented to the guests the current security challenges of Armenia, the general situation in the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process. The President emphasized that Armenia is open in its relations with all partner countries and has a clear position on the establishment of stable and lasting peace in the region.

The President of the Republic noted that the work of the Armenian Assembly of America is valuable and important for providing objective information about Armenia and the situation in our region to the American and the international community.

Over the course of the conversation, the sides exchanged views on relations between Armenia and neighboring countries, as well as on the general atmosphere in the country.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan also answered the questions of the guests in an informal setting, touching upon various realities related to the domestic political, economic and social life of the country.
