President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Gevorg Papoyan, the Minister of Economy

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan.

The President congratulated the Minister on holding a responsible position and wished him success.

"You will lead a rather complex and important department, on the normal operation of which the further course of the country's development significantly depends," the President noted.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and wishes, Minister Papoyan stressed that he would make every possible effort to give impetus to the positive trends observed in recent years in the development of the Armenian economy in the future as well.

During the meeting, the Minister presented to the President of the Republic the current and upcoming programs of the Ministry and the work carried out in the direction of sustainable economic development of the country.

The sides exchanged views on the priorities of the implementation of economic policy. The existing problems in the field of economics were touched upon, as well as the principles and directions of activity adopted by both the Ministry and other departments and the government to solve them.
