President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the residence of the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia on the U.S. Independence Day

Today, on the eve of the Independence Day of the United States of America, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Republic of Armenia, Kristina Kvien.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to President Biden, Ambassador Kvien and the Embassy staff, the friendly people of the United States.

The President noted that Armenia highly appreciates the support that the United States has shown for the development of Armenia's economy. The President of the Republic attached particular importance to the assistance provided by the USA to the process of democratic reforms in Armenia, and welcomed the decision made a few days ago regarding the establishment of the RA-USA strategic partnership.

"I think that the United States of America will continue its responsible mission of protecting democracy and spreading democratic values," the President said.

The US Ambassador to Armenia expressed gratitude for the visit and congratulations. "In recent years, a tremendous progress has been made in the bilateral relationship between Armenia and United States. Part of that goes to You and Your active engagement, including a very important trip to California and the West Coast recently. I would like to thank You, the Government of Armenia and the people of Armenia for deepening our relationship," said Ambassador Kvien, expressing hope that there will be an opportunity to talk about even more progress next year.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current agenda of Armenian-American relations and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation.
