The President of the Republic received the Charge d'Affaires of Iraq in Armenia

The President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Suhailan M. Khaleel Al-Joubouri, Chargé d'Affaires of Iraq in Armenia, in connection with the completion of his diplomatic service.

Welcoming the guest, the President noted: "Over the course of Your mission, thanks to Your personal contribution as well, the Armenian-Iraqi relations have entered a new stage of development.

You did a work of great importance for our two countries. I mean the mutual visits of the presidents of Iraq and Armenia, which opened a new page of development in the relations between our countries, and Your personal contribution here is very measurable."

In his speech, the President of the Republic also highly appreciated the active and effective work of the foreign agencies of the two countries, both in preparing and carrying out official visits of the presidents, and in giving a new impetus to the development of the multi-level Iraq-Armenia partnership.

Expressing gratitude for the reception and appreciation, Suhailan M. Khaleel Al-Joubouri said: "I have never felt like a stranger in Armenia, and it is a great honor for me to express my deep gratitude to You, especially for the great support You have provided us throughout our activities."

During the meeting, issues related to promotion of cooperation between the two countries in economy and other spheres were discussed. In this context, President Khachaturyan emphasized the promotion of steps aimed at fully realizing the existing potential of economic cooperation between Armenia and Iraq.

A reference was made to the importance of establishing stable and lasting peace in the region, which will create favorable conditions for the continuous development of both the region and neighboring countries.
