President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Armenia Riina Kaljurand

In connection with the completion of the diplomatic mission, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Armenia Riina Kaljurand.

Welcoming the guest, President Khachaturyan thanked the Ambassador for the efforts made during her diplomatic service to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.

Touching upon the continuation of effective cooperation between Armenia and Estonia, the President noted: "I highly appreciate the current level of cooperation between our countries, as well as your personal efforts to promote cooperation between our countries and the support that Estonia has provided to Armenia during its difficult times."

Expressing gratitude for the reception and warm words, the Ambassador noted that the relations between Armenia and Estonia are developing dynamically thanks to bilateral efforts.

During the meeting, issues related to democratic reforms and opportunities for sharing exemplary experience in the establishment of state institutions were discussed. The importance of consistent application of the principles of democracy from the point of view of further development of the countries was emphasized.

A reference was made to the issues of further expansion of effective cooperation between the two countries both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the European Union.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the regional situation and developments. In this context, the imperative of peaceful settlement of existing problems through negotiations and within the framework of fundamental international rights and principles was emphasized.
