President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan held a working dinner with the delegation headed by Georges Siffredi, President of the Hauts-de-Seine Departmental Council of France, and representatives of the "Hayastan" Fund of France.

The President of the Republic welcomed the visit of the delegation to Armenia and highly appreciated the long-term close cooperation between the Department of Hauts-de-Seine and Tavush region.

The basis for effective cooperation between the Department of Hauts-de-Seine and the Tavush region has been laid since 2008, when the Department began to support the development of the agricultural and livestock sectors of Tavush. Since 2008, the Department of Hauts-de-Seine has implemented investment development programs in Tavush in the amount of about 8.4 million euros.

In his speech, the President stressed that currently the interaction between Armenia and France is at the highest level, and from this point of view, the decentralized development of relations between the two countries is also very important at the level of various regions and cities.

During the meeting, issues related to the further expansion of Armenian-French cooperation were discussed. The activities of "Hayastan" Fund of France and its important role in the ongoing promotion of cooperation between the two countries were touched upon.

The sides exchanged views on intra-Armenian and regional developments and the general situation.

During the conversation, President Vahagn Khachaturyan expressed readiness to contribute to the implementation of the program for the development of decentralized cooperation and current initiatives to the fullest.
