President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia Daniel Azatyan.

Welcoming the guest, the President of the Republic noted that the banking system is the most established and independent structure in Armenia, which has played an important role in the stability and development of the country's economy since its inception to this day.

In his speech, the President emphasized the essential importance of having healthy competition in the banking system, which guarantees continuous improvement and flexibility of the system.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet, Daniel Azatyan noted that one of the priority goals of the creation of the Union is both the impartial protection of the interests of banks in Armenia and ensuring a competitive environment in the banking system, which was pointed out by the President of the Republic.

During the meeting, Daniel Azatyan presented the President of the Republic details about the main activities of the Union of Banks, and also touched upon the developments taking place in the banking system of Armenia, existing problems and ways to overcome them.

During the conversation, President Vahagn Khachaturyan expressed readiness to promote initiatives aimed at the reform and development of the banking sector in the country to the extent possible.
