President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev

The President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the presidential residence.

Welcoming the guest, the President noted. "Dear Mr. President, I am happy to host You and your delegation in the Republic of Armenia. I am convinced that your visit will contribute to the further development and deepening of relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan. We have a common history, as well as today's modern history, which stands out because in these difficult times we deepen our relations in all spheres.
I would like to note that during this period, especially under Your leadership, Kazakhstan has recorded significant successes in various fields. Our cooperation aims to apply the opportunities of Kazakhstan in the economic life of Armenia and in other fields.

Once again, I greet You and, of course, wish You and the Kazakh people success and new achievements."

The President of Kazakhstan, thanking for the warm welcome and good wishes, noted. "Dear Mr. President, dear Vahagn Garnikovich, as the President of Kazakhstan, I am visiting Armenia for the first time on an official visit. That is why this visit is very important and has a special meaning for me.

We had talks with the Honorable Mr. Prime Minister in the framework of official and unofficial meetings.
Armenia is one of the main and important partners for Kazakhstan. I came to Armenia with great enthusiasm and a special feeling, a country with a rich history and culture, where the ancient civilization emerged.

Today's meeting coincided with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan. It's symbolic. I have no doubt that relations between our countries will always be friendly. This official visit went as planned, and I hope that it will remain in the history of the two countries."

Over the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the opportunities of the full realization of the existing potential of cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan in the economic, cultural and other spheres. In this context, the importance of holding joint economic, cultural, sports and other initiatives was noted, based on the examples of the Armenian-Kazakh business forum held recently and the "Armenian Cultural Days" planned for this year in Kazakhstan.

From the point of view of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, the importance of high-level political mutual visits and constant contacts between cultural, economic and business circles was noted.
During the conversation, both sides stressed the importance of establishing stable and lasting peace in the region, which meets the interests of all partner states.
At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Vahagn Khachaturyan to visit Kazakhstan.
