The Ambassador of Guinea to Armenia presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea to Armenia Haba Niankoye (residence: Moscow) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan.
Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, the President noted: "I hope that during the years of your tenure, relations between our two countries will reach a higher level based on common interests.
The African region (except the North Africa) is one of the directions with relatively new perspectives of our foreign policy. In recent years, Armenia has been trying to activate relations with African countries."
Extending thanks for the reception, the newly appointed Ambassador noted that he would make every effort to start and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
During the meeting, issues of common interest in political, economic, cultural and other spheres were discussed. In this context, the promotion of political consultations between Armenia and Guinea was emphasized, which can become a favorable basis for the further development of cooperation in both economic and cultural, educational, business and other fields.
Over the course of the conversation, the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries on international platforms and organizations, in particular, within the framework of Francophonie, was noted.
At the meeting a reference was made to the regional realities and the general situation. In this regard, President Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized that Armenia's positions and approaches are based on a sincere commitment to achieve stable and lasting peace in the region and to have good-neighborly relations with its neighbors. Both sides stressed that stable peace is in the interests of the region and all partner countries, which will guarantee the development of cooperation in all fields.
