The President of the Republic met with the Prime Minister of Georgia

The meeting of President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze took place at the Residence of the President of the Republic.

Welcoming the guest, the President noted: "We highly appreciate our friendly relations, and such high-level visits once again emphasize the importance of these relations between our countries and our nations.

In fact, our relations are of strategic importance, which is also fixed in the Government program of the Republic of Armenia of 2021-2026.

I think we are just confirming the reality of our centuries-old historical relations, which have always been of strategic importance.

I greet you once again. I am sure that your visit will be beneficial for the development and strengthening of relations between our countries."

Extending thanks for the reception, the Prime Minister of Georgia said: "It is a great pleasure for me to be here in Armenia today. My visit is the sign of the fact that we attach special importance to the relations and friendship between the two countries. We always emphasize that there is a historic friendship between our nations and countries.

It's not only a good cooperation between two governments, but it is also based on the historical friendship between the two nations. Of course, it is our responsibility to further build the good cooperation based on this strong friendship.

We recently signed a Strategic partnership Declaration which means that we manage to advance our relations to a higher level, and now it is important to fulfill the goals set out in this declaration.

The current state of our relations is very good, so the dynamic is very positive, but there is always a space for deepening cooperation. It is in our interests to have strong cooperation in all possible areas. Especially in the political, economic, cultural, educational and other spheres, there is untapped potential and opportunities for expansion. There is a very high interest on our side to have a very strong partnership with Armenia."

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the further expansion of cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural spheres. The importance of close cooperation in all spheres of state administration of the two countries and the importance of promoting steps towards the implementation of joint programs was emphasized.

Both sides emphasized the importance of mutual visits at different levels and the continuous deepening of cooperation, which gives a positive impetus to the further expansion of partnership between the countries in economic and other fields.

During the conversation, regional realities and the general situation were discussed. In this context, the President of the Republic reaffirmed Armenia's sincere commitment to achieve full and lasting peace in the region.

Over the course of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the promotion of democratic values and reforms carried out towards the establishment and strengthening of democratic institutions.

The sides highly appreciated the close and mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Georgia on various international platforms and organizations.
