The newly appointed Ambassador of Slovenia to Armenia presented her credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan
Mateja Prevolšek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Armenia, presented her credentials to the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan.
President Khachaturyan congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and expressed hope that Slovenia will be best represented in Armenia during her tenure. The President noted that Armenia highly appreciates friendly relations with Slovenia based on common values and mutually beneficial cooperation.
"This year Armenia and Slovenia will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. This is a good opportunity to celebrate the formation of a strong political dialogue between our two states, the establishment of friendly relations, as well as to intensify cooperation in various fields, especially in the economic and cultural spheres," President Khachaturyan said.
The newly appointed Ambassador extended thanks for the reception and assured that she is ready to make every effort to further develop relations between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, issues of developing cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, high-tech and other fields were discussed.
The President of the Republic, in the person of the Ambassador, expressed his gratitude to the Government and the people of Slovenia for the humanitarian assistance provided to the internally displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.
Over the course of the conversation, the sides exchanged views on efforts to develop parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries. The importance of stimulating mutual visits at a high political level was noted, which will have a positive impact on further expansion of cooperation.
