The President of the Republic received the parliamentary delegation of Denmark
President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament, Lise Bech.
The President welcomed the visit of parliamentarians to Armenia and stressed that such mutual visits between the two countries contribute both to the continuous development of parliamentary diplomacy and to the strengthening of cooperation in general.
Expressing gratitude for the welcome, Lise Bech expressed hope that their visit to Armenia is aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries and, of course, at strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
During the meeting, issues related to the progress of democratic reforms implemented in Armenia in recent years and existing impediments were discussed. The importance of continuous and consistent efforts to create and strengthen democratic institutions was emphasized.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on regional and global realities, existing challenges and solutions for them. In this context, the imperative of establishing stable and lasting peace in the region was emphasized, which will greatly contribute to the democratic values’ and institutions’ taking root and development.
The sides highly appreciated the effective cooperation between Armenia and Denmark on both bilateral and international platforms.
