President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos.

Welcoming the guests, the President noted. "I welcome your visit to Armenia. Such visits underline the importance we attach to our relationship with each other.

Our friendly relations have such a history that we are obliged to further strengthen and develop them. At the same time, I can note that we are successfully continuing to deepen this cooperation at all levels, starting from human contacts to political platforms.

I would also like to express my gratitude to the government, authorities and people of Cyprus for the support you have shown and are showing to our compatriots from Nagorno-Karabakh."

Extending thanks for the reception, the Minister said: "We have long-standing traditional relations, as well as very warm relations have been established between our nations, and in the future we are ready to develop them and expand our cooperation in all directions".

During the meeting, issues of ways to continuously expand and develop bilateral relations in the political, economic and other spheres were discussed.

Both sides noted the importance of close cooperation between the two countries both on the platforms of the European Union and other international platforms, as well as on the topics of the bilateral agenda.

During the conversation, the sides touched upon the issue of mutual presence of diplomatic missions and stressed their readiness to reach a solution to the problem as soon as possible.

The importance of regular direct flights from Armenia to Cyprus was noted, which significantly contributes to the development of the economy, business, tourism and multi-level cooperation between the two countries as a whole.

The sides exchanged views on joining efforts to fully realize the potential existing in the two countries in energy, high technology and other fields, and the prospects for the implementation of various bilateral and multilateral joint programs.
