President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador of Estonia to Armenia Riina Kaljurand
President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Armenia Riina Kaljurand.
Welcoming the guest, President Khachaturyan congratulated on the Independence Day of Estonia and wished the people of Estonia success and prosperity.
Touching upon the prospects of Armenian-Estonian cooperation, the President noted: "Armenia attaches great importance to the development of friendly relations with Estonia and is ready to take the necessary steps to expand and strengthen effective cooperation in spheres of mutual interest."
Expressing her gratitude for the welcome and good wishes, the Ambassador noted that relations between Armenia and Estonia are developing dynamically thanks to bilateral efforts.
During the meeting, issues related to the opportunities of mutual exchange of best practices in the field of education, democratic reforms and the development of state institutions were discussed.
The issues of further expansion of effective cooperation between the two countries both in the bilateral format and within the framework of the European Union were touched upon.
Over the course of the conversation, views were exchanged about the regional situation and developments. In this context, the imperative to solve the existing problems through peaceful negotiations and within the framework of international fundamental rights and principles was emphasized.
