The newly appointed Ambassador of Cambodia to Armenia presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Armenia Pichkhun Panya (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan congratulated the Ambassador and wished him efficient work. The President expressed hope that the Ambassador’s appointment will serve to further strengthen and expand the relations between the two countries.

Expressing his gratitude for the reception, the newly appointed Ambassador stressed that he would make every effort to intensify cooperation between Armenia and Cambodia.

During the meeting, issues related to the steps to reveal the potential of cooperation in the fields of mutual interest were discussed. Both sides stressed with satisfaction the effective cooperation of the two countries on the international platforms.

The sides touched upon the opportunities for stimulating cooperation in high technology, tourism, culture and other spheres.

The sides exchanged views on the opportunities of easing the visa regime for citizens of the two countries.

The meeting noted the importance of intensifying contacts and strengthening partnership within the framework of Francophonie.

Over the course of the conversation, the prospects for the development of political dialogue, mutual visits and parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries at various levels were touched upon.
