President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

Welcoming the guest, the President congratulated him on his appointment and wished him effective work in his new position.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev expressed his gratitude for the reception and congratulatory words and noted that as Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, he would make every effort to further develop cooperation.

During the meeting, issues of implementing and expanding the economic potential of the EAEU were discussed. An exchange of views took place on the agreements reached within the framework of the Union and the possibilities for the full implementation of the agreements.

During the conversation, the sides touched upon the importance of promoting cooperation in the field of energy security, high technologies, trade turnover between the member countries of the Union, smooth functioning of communication channels and in other spheres.

The sides stressed the need for the balanced development of economic ties between the member countries of the Union, as well as the intensification of steps to deepen existing contacts and establish new ties between business circles.
