President Vahagn Khachaturyan awarded Jasmine Dum-Tragut the Movses Khorenatsi Medal

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Jasmine Dum-Tragut (Austria), Director of the Center for the Study of the Christian East at University of Salzburg.

In his welcome remarks, the President expressed his gratitude to the guest for her major contribution to the development of Armenian studies.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the development of Armenian studies, the recording of historical facts and the possibilities to combat falsehoods.

President of the Republic of Armenia drew the scientist's attention to the need to protect the Armenian historical and cultural heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh.

At the meeting, President Vahagn Khachaturyan awarded Jasmine Dum-Tragut the Movses Khorenatsi Medal for her great contribution to the development of Armenian-Austrian friendly relations and Armenian studies.
