President Vahagn Khachaturyan meets with Petros Terzyan, a member of the Board of Trustees of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Petros Terzyan, a member of the Board of Trustees of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

The President welcomed the guest and attached importance to the various programs implemented by the Fund, particularly the works aimed at community development.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Petros Terzyan presented to President Vahagn Khachaturyan the multi-sectoral agricultural development programs implemented in the rural communities of Syunik and Tavush marzes which relate to animal husbandry with the latest methods, the introduction of new crops and the development of greenhouse farms.

Petros Terzyan also introduced the details of the envisaged programs aimed at the support of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, and addressing their housing needs to be implemented in cooperation with the RA Government.

During the discussion, it was emphasized that the programs implemented by the Fund should be of general nature and be aimed at introducing the latest methods of agricultural activity in Armenia and training relevant experts. In this context, the agricultural school based in Tavush was highlighted where around 40 students of the school acquire relevant knowledge and experience.

At the meeting, ideas were also exchanged on the possibilities of establishment and development of eco-farms in the communities.
