The newly-appointed Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Armenia Bright Kupemba presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan
Bright Kupemba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Republic of Armenia (residence: Tehran) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan.
The President congratulated the newly-appointed Ambassador and wished him success in fulfilling his responsible mission.
"Last year we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Zimbabwe. During these years, our relations have developed to some extent, but I cannot state that we have exercised the full potential of cooperation between our countries. I believe that the authorities of both countries have a lot to do in this regard. I am also hopeful that your appointment will contribute to the expansion of the areas of cooperation between Armenia and Zimbabwe," the President noted.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Ambassador Kupemba highlighted that he will spare no efforts in the development of friendly relations and cooperation between Armenia and Zimbabwe.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the promotion of cooperation between the two countries in high-tech, mining, agriculture and other economic sectors.
The interlocutors also touched upon regional developments, humanitarian and security challenges, as well as the problems of tens of thousands of our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
