President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by the Chairperson of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chairperson of SK Group Tae-won Chey.

In his welcome remarks, President Khachaturyan emphasized that the delegation's visit would contribute to the further development of relations between the two countries.

"Diplomatic relations between our countries were established back in 1992 and have been developing dynamically since then. I believe that the visit of your delegation will make its contribution to the further development of Armenian-Korean friendship and contacts," the President noted.

The members of the delegation expressed their gratitude for the reception and emphasized that they are impressed by Armenia and hope that their visit will enhance Armenian-Korean business ties.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the prospects and pathways to exercise the potential of interaction in the fields of high technologies, nuclear energy use, and tourism among others.

During the discussion, the sides also touched upon the possibility and importance of having resident ambassadors in Armenia and Korea. Ideas were exchanged on the process of facilitating the visa regime for visiting Korea for Armenian citizens.
