President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the N military unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia
As part of his working visit to Tavush Marz, the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited one of the military units of the Armed Forces on combat duty. The President greeted the servicemen and gave encouraging gifts to a group of officers and servicemen who were most outstanding in the service.
"You are fulfilling a very important task. You are the people who keep our borders strong enabling the citizens of the Republic of Armenia to live, create and develop freely.
I am confident that you perform your service with this understanding. I am confident that it is with this understanding that the commanders of the military unit guide and educate you as real soldiers who have proved their fighting power. I am confident that you are fulfilling the critical task that is set for you. That critical task is the protection of the security of the Republic of Armenia. That critical task is the protection of integrity of the borders of the Republic of Armenia.
Once again, I extend my regards to you and wish you success and peaceful service."
Afterwards, the President laid flowers at the monument dedicated to the memory of the victims of the 44-day war in the territory of the military unit and paid tribute to the memory of the Armenians who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
President Khachaturyan also familiarized himself with the living conditions of servicemen on combat duty and had brief talks with them.
"You are doing a very responsible job, and in order to be able to succeed in it, first of all, you need to be professional and know your job well. This is highly needed both in the military and civilian life.
Rest assured that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia, the Government of the Republic of Armenia are primarily doing their best to meet the demands of the army.
I wish you success. My request to you is to not spare effort and energy, study well what you are taught, enrich and foster your skills," the President of Armenia specifically noted in his speech.
