President Vahagn Khachaturyan awarded a number of employees of the Prosecutor's Office on the professional holiday

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan attended the conference dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia. During the event, President Vahagn Khachaturyan's decrees on awarding class ranks and state awards to a number of employees of the Prosecutor's Office were published.

According to the decrees of the President, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Karen Vardapetyan was awarded Third Class State Counselor of Justice.

Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, First Class Counselor of Justice Grigor Valiko Elizbaryan was awarded the rank of Third Class State Counselor of Justice.

Artur Shahen Poghosyan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia, First Class Counselor of Justice, was awarded the rank of Third Class State Counselor of Justice.

On the occasion of the Prosecutor's Day, the President of the Republic of Armenia awarded the Mkhitar Ghosh medal for contribution to the strengthening of lawfulness and legal order to Deputy Prosecutor General coordinating the functions of confiscation of property of illicit origin Srbuhi Hovhannes Galyan, Deputy Prosecutor General Lilit Sos Grigoryan, Head of the Crimes against Property Department of the Prosecutor General's Office Armen Martin Grigoryan, and Head of the Department of Supervision over Legality of Penalties and other means of compulsion of the Prosecutor General's Office Levon Mkrtich Charkhifalakyan.

Following the award ceremony, the President delivered a speech.

Dear employees of the Prosecutor's Office,

Congratulations on the Day of the Prosecutor's Office and the 105th anniversary of the service of the Prosecutor's Office in Armenia.

It is impossible to overestimate the role of the Prosecutor's Office in the protection and strengthening of lawfulness and the legal order in the Republic of Armenia, and the solution of these issues requires the unbiased and responsible contribution of each employee.

The cornerstone of your activity is the Constitution of Armenia, and the main mission is the protection of constitutionality, democracy and fundamental human rights in our country.

Since the independence of Armenia, the Prosecutor's Office, as a unified system, has undergone a difficult path of establishment, facing many vicious phenomena.

However, in recent years, in the light of the revolutionary democratic reforms and the strengthening of democratic institutions, the role and responsibility of the Prosecutor's Office was amplified, since the Prosecutor's Office is one of the key institutions meant to become one of the main guarantors of these reforms.

The Prosecutor's Office is a solid and united system and the token of its effective operation is the expertise, professionalism and dedicated work of the employees.

At the same time, I am confident that the continuous replenishment of the system with young and knowledgeable lawyers forms the quality potential of the Prosecutor's Office for the exercise of its constitutional powers.
