President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the President of Freedom House organization Michael Abramowitz.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the reforms aimed at establishing democracy and democratic institutions in Armenia.

During the discussion, they touched upon the pathways to overcome the factors impeding the establishment of democracy in the face of regional realities and issues.

Both sides emphasized the need for sustainability and peace in Armenia and the South Caucasus region to enable democratic development.

Ideas were exchanged with regard to the initiatives and general approaches of the Armenian government toward the development of state and democratic institutions in recent years.
