President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador of Georgia to Armenia Giorgi Sharvashidze
President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Giorgi Sharvashidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia.
President Khachaturyan congratulated the Ambassador on May 26, the holiday of Declaration of Independence of Georgia, and wished the best of success to Georgia and the Georgian people.
Expressing gratitude for the reception and congratulations, Ambassador Sharvashidze reciprocally congratulated the President of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people on May 28, the Republic Day.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon issues related to the continuous development of existing close friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia. They emphasized the importance and strategic nature of the development of multi-dimensional friendly relations between Armenia and Georgia.
Ideas were exchanged on setting higher standards for political and economic relations between the two countries. Both sides highlighted the dynamic expansion of the volumes of trade between Armenia and Georgia and enhancement of economic ties.
