President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited a military unit

President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited one of the border military units of Armenia and handed in incentives to the representatives of the command staff and conscripts. The President was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan.

Welcoming the military unit personnel, President Khachaturyan expressed his gratitude for their conscientious and exemplary service and congratulated them on the upcoming holidays.

In his speech, the President particularly noted:

“We are immensely proud of you, and by saying we, I mean both the government and the citizens of the Republic of Armenia. We do our jobs, for we know that you are serving your motherland with your power and your will so that we could perform our duties in our civic lives.

And we all have one goal – to strengthen our country and enhance our security so that no one would think of invading our country. It was a difficult and challenging year, unfortunately, we had losses, irreparable losses, glory be to our fallen friends. However, all that had a purpose - not to let the enemy enter our country.”

After his visit to the unit, the President left for military posts, got acquainted with their equipment and the general situation, and talked to the personnel on combat duty.
