President Vahagn Khachaturyan had a meeting with the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades

Within the framework of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, President Vahagn Khachaturyan had a meeting with Nicos Anastasiades, the President of the Republic of Cyprus.

Welcoming his Cypriot colleague, President Khachaturyan noted that the relations between the two fraternal countries are based on close historical, cultural and civilizational ties, which ensures the continuity of interstate relations and the readiness to expand them even further.

The two Presidents were pleased to record that the two countries have common approaches to the issues in international relations, and they also closely cooperate on different international platforms.

The sides lay store on the necessity to open permanent diplomatic missions in the two countries, to further promote political and sectoral cooperation.

The Presidents also attached importance to the trilateral Armenia-Greece-Cyprus cooperation based on shared values, culture and heritage, and touched upon the meeting scheduled in Yerevan in that format.
