President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia Bahaa El Dessouki

President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia Bahaa El Dessouki on the occasion of completing his diplomatic mission.

The President thanked the Ambassador for his efforts to develop and strengthen Armenian-Egyptian relations during the four years of his tenure and wished him success in his future work.

President Vahagn Khachatureyan highlighted the importance of relations with Egypt for Armenia, which are conditioned by historical and cultural relations, common economic interests and shared approaches to various regional problems.

The RA President and the Ambassador of Egypt both attached importance and value to the cooperation between Armenia and Egypt, which continuously deepens and includes various fields within the framework of the rich agenda. At the same time, they emphasized the necessity of frequent high-level visits and periodic consultations. The sides also touched upon the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27).

Ambassador Bahaa El Dessouki expressed his gratitude for the support he received in Armenia and for the eagerness to cooperate, highlighting that wherever he continues his diplomatic work in the future, he will be as useful as feasible to friendly Armenia and the Armenian people, whom he treats with special warm-heartedness.
