President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Vice President of IBM EDA Dr. Leon Stok
Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Vice President of the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) group of the IBM, Dr. Leon Stok, who received the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for global contribution in the field of Information Technologies.
Welcoming the guest, President Khachaturyan particularly noted: “I am glad to welcome you at the Residence of the President. It is an honour for us to have such an opportunity to express our appreciation for your work. In fact, people like you inspire many of us."
President Khachaturyan highlighted that such award ceremonies also provide a good opportunity for representatives of globally influential companies to visit Armenia, get acquainted with Armenian scientists, and in some sense also contribute to the reestablishment of the best traditions of Soviet Armenia in the field of high technology.
Expressing his gratitude for the reception and the high appreciation, Dr. Leon Stok noted that it is a great honour for him to be in Armenia and to receive such a high award, which is compelling.
During the meeting, President Khachaturyan and Leon Stock discussed the opportunities in the field of high technologies, the directions of their application, as well as a number of issues related to the cooperation of Armenian and international companies.
