President Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in the festive event on Emergency Workers Day
Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan, alongside Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, participated in the festive event on Emergency Workers Day in the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Congratulating the MES staff members on their professional day, President Khachaturyan highlighted the importance of the role of the emergency response structure.
“Since the foundation of the Ministry, and even before that, since the devastating earthquake in Spitak, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has become one of the state structures, the role, indispensability and importance of which in organizing the public life of the state in a natural course is conspicuous.
Throughout time, as a result of new achievements, you have become more skilled and powerful, and today you are ready to provide a safe environment for our country and its citizens to live and work.
With your work, you also proved that you carry the title of Emergency Situations worker with dignity and high consciousness, ready to protect our people, the citizens of the Republic of Armenia anytime, at the cost of personal sacrifice in emergency situations.
In today’s conditions, the requirements for your work have also changed, which means constant improvement, acquisition of professional knowledge, new technical armament. I am sure that the Government of the Republic of Armenia, continuing to focus on the issues of further development and improvement of the sector, will take consistent steps to allocate the necessary funds to face new challenges," said the President, wishing happiness, welfare and safe service to all employees of the MES system.
President Khachaturyan handed State awards to a number of MES staff members for bravery and dedication in service.
After the awarding ceremony, the President watched the ceremonial march of the structural divisions of the RA MES RS and the demonstration exercises presented by the special rescue squad of the MES. The President and the Prime Minister, accompanied by the Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan, also familiarized themselves with the activities and capabilities of various units of the Ministry presented at the parade ground.
