You have one mission – build our future. President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited High School N 142 named after A. Gharibyan
On the occasion of Knowledge and Schooling day, President Vahagn Khachaturyan visited High School N 142 named after A. Gharibyan, which opened its doors to students and teachers for the first time after the overhaul. The school was overhauled within the 2nd phase of the World Bank "Education improvement" loan program.
Congratulating the pupils, pedagogues and parents, in his welcoming speech President Khachaturyan particularly said: “Studying in such a school is a truly big achievement. Dear students, now all the conditions have been created for you. You have one mission – build our future.
My request to all of you, especially to teachers and parents is one – let our children grow up free, make their own decisions about their future, surely, with your help and guidance.
Know that only a free person can really create, generate values that will be necessary for our state and the development of our country.
We can move forward, overcome difficulties only and merely due to knowledge. And the process of gaining knowledge begins at the kindergartens, and here, at school.
Once again, I congratulate us all on today’s occasion.
I wish you all success, good health and new achievements”.
In his congratulations on Knowledge and Schooling day, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan noted: "All of us associate our wishes and dreams related to knowledge and education with this symbolic day, September 1st, from the first grade of the school to the first year of the university. September 1st is a holiday summing up a great volume of expectations and condensation of dreams." The minister emphasized that the government is taking important steps towards the development of the educational system.
Afterwards, President Vahagn Khachaturyan toured the school, accompanied by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vahram Dumanyan and the headmaster of the school Armanuosh Mirzoyan, familiarized himself with the performed works and created conditions, talked with students and teachers.
