Use every opportunity to gain knowledge. President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the participants of the “Summer school” program of the National Assembly

Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the participants of the “Summer school” program of the National Assembly of Armenia.

President Vahagn Khachaturyan welcomed the students, touched upon the activity and role of the presidential institution, the need to receive a quality education and to be a responsible citizen, presented some episodes from the history of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia.

In his speech, the President particularly said: “Actually, we can be successful as a country merely due to our knowledge, mind and initiatives. If once we believed that there were other criteria, today we can clearly say that neither mining, nor apricot, or “Jermuk” mineral water (because there once was such an idea) will help us if there is no idea, if there is no initiative, no freedom and, most importantly, no knowledge. You are the receivers of that knowledge and you will keep receiving it. My wish, my request to you - use every opportunity to gain knowledge. At every meeting, in case of any opportunity try to gain knowledge. Don't get tired of learning.

I collecte knowledge, read something new every day. The opportunity to absorb knowledge will never ever end, and even more so in the present times. In this world that changes so rapidly and quickly comes up with new demands, I am sure that your creativity will grow, if you have a desire to learn. Throughout the time you will become the bearers of new ideas, new discoveries, and the role of the State will be only to give you the opportunity to freely bring it all to life.

There are no problems with freedom in our country, and if such problems emerge, our response is unequivocal. We need to manage to remove that restriction, be that in business, in everyday life, at border crossings. This will be done for the sake of people to come here and feel good, it's not only about the citizens of our country."

Afterwards, President Khachaturyan answered the students' questions in a friendly atmosphere.
